In 2017 we published a review of the investigation and prosecution of sexual crime in the High Court by COPFS (see link below for this thematic review). This follow-up review assesses progress made by COPFS in implementing the 12 recommendations from our 2017 review.

  • 50 accused, all male
  • Five accused aged under 18
  • 13 cases with charges over five years old
  • 12 cases rolled up with one or more other cases
